Students often find their brains swirl with responsibilities, stresses, and thoughts. In the attached article, school staff and students offer help for the one in seven young people, who the World Health Organization said, deals with mental health disorders.  “I think mental health is important,” freshman Imogen Mills said. “It’s not funny when people make fun of it – or pretend they have mental health problems.”

Looking at one of her students as they speak, Delaney Alford sits next to freshman Saanvi Vipin during their Hope Squad period. During this class, the group played the game ‘imposter’ to bond. “I think Hope Squad is such a good class and such a good program to not only teach [mental health awareness] to the kids that are in the class, but also to push that out to any and everybody else,” Alford said. “What better way for people to hear about it than from their peers?”

Prosper captains line up at midfield preparing for the coin toss to start the UIL 6A Divison II Regional Semifinal game. A four hour weather delay pushed the game against Southlake Carroll High School to a late start in the rain. This intense matchup determined who would advance to the state quarterfinals, with Southlake Carroll coming out victorious.
